Fourth Quarter 2005

Congratulations to Mr. Joey Chadwell of Physical Plant Building Operators/FMS/HVAC! He was selected Employee of the Quarter for the 2005 fourth quarter.
Joey is a Maintenance Tech II and has been with PPD for 7 years. He was nominated by Mr. Don Witt who is the Assistant Provost on campus.
He told us:

“I work and teach in Funkhouser and last night I locked myself out of the office during the evening hours. I want to extend my compliments to Joey for coming to Funkhouser to let me in the office. His service went beyond the call of duty and was much appreciated. I always feel it is appropriate to let others know when staff does a great job.”

Harold Sandford, who is Joeys Superintendent told us:
“Joey Chadwell works a variety of shifts for us, and he is very multi-talented. Most employees do not know this, but he works 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts when needed. He can also fill in for both our normal night campus operator, and work the Delta FMS systems as well. We as building operators do not normally come and unlock doors for other employees on campus, but I think this situation called for Joey to go “beyond the call of duty”, as I know Mr. Witt and the importance of his job here at UK.”

In recognition of his accomplishments, he will receive a signed letter from Jack Applegate and a framed Certificate of Appreciation. Also, a brass plaque engraved with his name will be hung on the recognition board in the lobby of the Peterson Service Building.
